The bible clearly says the antichrist will CONFIRM the covenant with "the many". In context, this includes Israel. To confirm the covenant, the covenant will have to already have been written.
Daniel 9:27 (CJB) He will make a strong covenant with leaders for one week [of years]. For half of the week he will put a stop to the sacrifice and the grain offering. On the wing of detestable things the desolator will come and continue until the already decreed destruction is poured out on the desolator."

The United States is pushing Israel to sign a seven year lease of the Jordan Valley with the so-called palestinian (former Jordanians that stayed in Israel to cause problems for Israel) While I thought the Oslo Accords may be the covenant (and much of it may be included in any new covenant)
Many people do not realize much of East Jerusalem including the Temple Mount is controlled by Jordan's Waqf which is responsible for some of the maintaining and rebuilding of sections of the Temple Mount.
This is important because it is quite likely that Prince El Hassan bin Talal of Jordan will be the one that CONFIRMS (makes the covenant stronger) the covenant with the leaders. Remember, Prince El Hassan was the author of the Oslo Peace Accords as well as the author of the peace treaty between Jordan and Israel. It is certain he will be involved in any peace treaty in the area because he is respected by both the palestinians and Israel as a moderate muslim who is a peacemaker (sound familiar)
The peace covenant may be confirmed by the antichrist at the same time it is signed by others. Is this THE covenant? It looks likely. Watch for exciting (and scary) times ahead.
